A high-level Chinese delegation, in collaboration with the Policy Studies Institute (PSI), convened a strategic seminar titled “China–Africa Trade Prosperity and Connectivity” in Addis Ababa on May 18, 2026. The forum brought together senior Chinese policymakers, leading economists, and Ethiopian policy experts to deepen dialogue on trade cooperation, infrastructure connectivity, fiscal policy coordination, and long-term development partnerships between China and Africa.
The seminar was jointly organized under the framework of strengthening South–South cooperation and enhancing evidence-based policy exchange between Chinese institutions and Ethiopian think tanks, particularly the Policy Studies Institute. The Chinese delegation was led by prominent figures from the Counsellors’ Office of the State Council of the People’s Republic of China, together with senior experts from leading academic and policy research institutions. The delegation reflected a strong mix of high-level policy advisors and scholars specializing in economics, finance, and international cooperation.
